About Becky
Writing has always been part of Becky’s life. Raised in a household of journalists, she grew up surrounded by books, dinner-table debates, and a deep respect for story. After retiring from a career in education—where she worked extensively with children who perceive the world differently—she turned fully toward fiction. Her work often explores perception, belonging, and the quiet magic of landscape.
Landscape and myth have long shaped her imagination. Drawn to Celtic folklore, ritual, and the relationship between land and story, she began exploring fantasy as a way to hold both wonder and responsibility in the same breath. In her fiction, magic is never spectacle alone—it asks something of the heart.
Her debut novel, Gift of Norr, emerged after years of drafting and revision, shaped through workshops, retreats, and the persistent voice of a character who refused to remain secondary.
Becky lives in the Hudson Valley of New York, where woods, rivers, and changing seasons continue to influence her work. She remains a lifelong learner, engaged in study, writing groups, and creative retreats that nurture both craft and community.
